Delete your Golf Cappie account

This is how to delete your account in Golf Cappie, the golf GPS and stats app by CrowdQuell Inc., and everything stored with it. For your security, you'll be asked to sign in again before anything is deleted.

In the app

• Open Golf Cappie on your iPhone or Android phone and go to Settings, Account, Delete account.
• Answer Delete, then confirm it's you with your password, Google or Apple, whichever you sign in with.

Your account is deleted straight away, and you're signed out.

On a computer

• Sign in at golfcappie.app and go to Settings, Account, Delete account.
• Confirm it's you in the same way.

This also works in the browser on an Android phone. On an iPhone, please use the app or email us.

If you can't sign in any more

Email support@crowdquell.com and tell us the email address of your account. To protect your account, we only act on a request we can confirm: we reply to the address on the account, and delete it once you confirm from there. If you sign in with Apple and hid your email, our reply reaches you through Apple. We'll delete it within 30 days of your confirmation, and tell you when it's done.

What's deleted

• Your account and sign-in details, and your profile: name, handicap, home course and settings.
• Your rounds, scores, stats, shots and shot locations.
• Your golf bag and club distances.
• Your devices and notification registrations.
• Your share links, which stop working.

What's kept, and for how long

• Backup copies of our database, until they're overwritten in the normal way.
• Server request records, for up to 30 days.
• Information that no longer identifies you.
• Beta or launch signups made on golfcappie.com are separate from your account. To remove those too, email us.

Memberships

Deleting your account doesn't cancel a membership bought through the App Store or Google Play. Cancel it there too, as our Terms describe, or the store will keep billing you.
